Rule 61
Duties, Duties and Powers of Metropolitan City Police or City Police Head of Office
: Under the direction and control of the Metropolitan Police Premises or District Police Office, the work, duties and powers of the Metropolitan City Police or City Police Office Head within their area of responsibility shall be as follows:-< br>
(a) Effective mobilization, monitoring, controlling and giving necessary instructions of police manpower
(b) To improve the work efficiency and performance capacity of the police personnel, to make them conscientious and to keep morale high, by regularly inspecting and giving necessary instructions,
(c) Strictly follow the conduct and discipline of the police personnel (d) To protect and clean the arms, ammunition, crowd control and other government goods in his office,
(e) Evaluating the work of the police office and police personnel and conducting moral development work including punishment, reward,
(f) Formulating and implementing an effective control plan by evaluating and predicting the situation that may disturb peace and security in the area of responsibility,
(G) To control crime by arranging patrols and patrols as required within his area of work and to reach the place himself as soon as he receives information about any incident,
(h) Security of assemblies, processions and movement of highly distinguished persons or distinguished persons,
(i) Prepare or conduct necessary preparations and exercises for the emergency security plan of the area of responsibility,
(j) To maintain preparedness so that additional help can be obtained in an immediate and effective manner in unusual and adverse security situations,
(k) mobilizing or causing the police to be mobilized in unusual and adverse security situations including riots, communal riots,
(l) To manage the necessary to reduce the damage caused by the disaster and also to manage the rescue with readiness during the disaster.
(d) To follow or cause to be given the instructions given by the Taluk Office as well as to perform or cause other actions as specified by the prevailing law,
